Web Design

I create professional quality websites for a wide range of clients, from bespoke hat makers to government initiatives. I often use WordPress to provide a simple interface that anyone can use.

I am an illustrator so I come equipped with a strong visual sense to provide your website with an unique identity, and of course I can provide wonderful illustrations that will breathe life into your ideas. I try to keep things simple so any animation you find usually functions using jQuery rather than Flash, though I consider the benefits of both for each project.

My experience so far is in WordPress, PayPal, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, as well as various other software platforms such as ChimpMail and XTCommerce.

Luke Varley Photo

The client wanted a slick, bold portfolio site and a new logo to convey the fresh, alternative feel of his work. The jQuery animation is smooth without being over the top. The back-end is also configured with a secure client area where the clients photos can be seen, chosen with simple tick-boxes and the chosen photos submitted in the form of an email to the photographer.

Based on WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery.

The Lamp Site

This is a nearly finished version of this very site that never made it into the wild. It’s a bit unfinished, it could do with the attention of my current coding skills and it’s lacking content (plus the blog’s been disabled), but it’s quite fun.

Designed with HTML, CSS and javascript.
